It has been a good while since I took this much of a hiatus from writing this blog, and it was certainly not intentional. Somehow this fall became a whirlwind of a lot of good (or necessary) things, and other things sort of slipped to the wayside. Between teaching, the fire department, church, hiking, and occasional photography gigs, there hasn’t been a lot of room for anything else. At the same time as I hope the busyness diminishes, I’m enjoying the what the busyness consists of, and I feel very blessed and thankful for the doors God is opening, and the joy and contentment He has given me this fall! Over and over, over the last few years, it has been impressed on my heart that God’s plans are wonderful, and He is faithful to provide. In the midst of discouragement and feelings of discontentment, ultimately God always shows me how futile my own worries are, reminds me that those attitudes and thoughts are sinful and do not glorify Him, and that He is faithful and loving.
Hopefully I’ll be able to catch up a few of the trail reviews I had intended to write, even though we are well into winter here. When the weather is gorgeous, it is so hard to be inside working on pictures and blogging, as much as I love those things. I just want to be outside! Time flies. Will it ever slow down?
